For my master artist, I did Antonio Canaletto. He was an Italian painter who painted mostly landscapes and buildings in the 1700s.
One of his paintings inspired me to make a horse's head for my final project.

Above, is my sketch of the horse I planned to make.
The horse originally had a body but it was too heavy to be bisque fired. I didn't want it to blow up, so I cut out the head and the neck off of the body. I decided to make a platform under to stabilize it.
For my glaze choices, I did iron lustre over textured turquoise for the horse. But then I only did iron lustre for the platform.
This is the final product. I absolutely love the colors! To me, this is the best piece I've ever made. I don't usually sculpt my art works, but I'm glad I did for this one.
