This technique involves raku firing. The artist sprayed alcohol to reduce the copper matte glaze he put on. He then used a propane torch to develop the colors. I think the artist really achieved the glaze effect he wanted after spraying the pottery with water, making the colors appear. I definitely like the result. I've never seen this type of copper effect before. But unfortunately, we can't do this in our ceramics class. This technique is most recommended to be done outside and not indoors. We also don't have the required tools and supplies to do this.
